Have you ever looked up what city or town you are twinned with or even visited that place? Well, I don’t think many of us have, despite seeing the signs all over the country. At the end of the 1940s, the first twin cities between Great Britain and Germany were established and around 553 of those still exist.
This podcast is about the connection of two places told by the people that live there. The focus is on chosen UK-Germany twin city partnerships that stand out in terms of their history, fascinating stories and special friendships. Join us on a journey to some well-known cities and to some that you have probably never heard of before. You never know, they may end up on your travel bucket list! All episodes are produced and hosted by Maren Reents. The editors are Antje Timmermann and Hendrik Buchheister. The design is by Andrew Warman and the music is by Matthew Ng.
